Privacy Policy

SectionNotes Datum is operated by AyPex Holdings LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

What we collect

Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password. If you provide it, your name.

Subscription and payment information. When you subscribe to Pro or Pro+, payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card number. We store a Stripe customer reference, the last four digits of your card, your billing country, and subscription status.

Study activity. We record which questions you answer, which reasoning engines you engage with, and your performance across divisions. This data lets the app track your progress and surface targeted practice.

Technical information. Standard server logs including IP address, browser, device type, and timestamps for security and debugging.

We do not use third-party tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or analytics scripts at this time. If we add analytics in the future, this policy will be updated and users will be notified.

How we use your information

• To provide the service you signed up for
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To send account-related emails (password reset, receipt, subscription status)
• To improve the app based on aggregated usage patterns
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers.

Third parties we use

• Supabase — database and authentication
• Stripe — payment processing
• Vercel — hosting and deployment
• Email provider — transactional email

Each processes data under their own terms, linked from their sites.

Your rights

You can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your account data
• Unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time

To exercise any of these rights, email support@sectionnotes.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Data retention

We keep your account data as long as your account is active. On account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Aggregated and anonymized usage data may be retained for product improvement.

Children

SectionNotes Datum is intended for architecture professionals and exam candidates. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We protect data with encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access to production data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we follow industry standard practices.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. The “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
